Bro. Robert Wilson, 81, of Schochoh, passed away Sunday, Aug. 13, 2023 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green. He was born in Nashville on July 23, 1942 to the late Robert Wilson and Flossie Slaton Wilson. He was in the National Guards and worked for Dupont for many years. He was a member and Pastor of Whippoorwill Baptist Church and served as minister in many churches over the span of 50 years.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Patsy Wilson, and his daughter, Lisa Jolley.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Ann Rouse Wilson; his son, Jason Wilson of Greenbrier, Tenn.; his stepson, Steve Rouse and wife Angela of Schochoh; his daughters, Susan Wilson and Laura Daniel, both of White House, Tenn.; his stepdaughter, Mary Lynn Davenport and husband Robert of Schochoh; his grandchildren, Jonathan Jolley, Ariel Daniel, Adam Daniel, Cayce Wilson, Nickie Fishburn, Ryan Davenport, Mary Beth Richmond, Austin Rouse and William “Will” Rouse; and his great-grandchildren, Beatrice Jolley, Clementine Jolley, Abigail Jolley, Tye Forshee, Adeline Castile, Layne Fishburn, Clara Richmond, John Clay Richmond, Naomi Rouse and Thomas “Tommy” Rouse.
Funeral services for Bro. Robert Wilson will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 17, at Whippoorwill Baptist Church with Bro. Austin Rouse and Bro. Jimmy Chapman officiating with burial to follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens at 1 p.m. Visitation at Whippoorwill Baptist Church will be held Thursday from 9 a.m, until the service hour of 11. Summers and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
