Wayne Anderson, 80 ,of Hendersonville, Tenn. passed away on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. He was born Wednesday, April 28, 1943, the son of the late Robert Anderson and the late Sarah Piper Anderson. He was the husband of Betty Anderson, who survives.
He was a Master Electrician for Gibraltar Coal Company and a member of Dunmor Baptist Church. Wayne was a HAM radio operator with the handle KM4ZU. He was also a member of UMWA Local 1092.
Also surviving his daughters, Kathy Johnson (Jeff) of Newburgh, Ind. and Lisa Mefford (Doug) of Hendersonville; his granddaughters, Payton Erk (Andy) of Nashville and Piper Carr (Hunter) of Evansville; his grandsons, Derek Mefford (Callie) of Chattanooga, Lance Mefford of Hendersonville and Jacob Johnson (Erica) of Carmel, Ind.; and his great-granddaughter, Mallory Louise Johnson of Carmel.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., located at 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg. Interment will be at Lewisburg Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m until the time of the service on Saturday at Price Funeral Home.
