Lillian Hester Coursey, 92, of Lewisburg, passed away on Friday, Oct. 13, 2023, at Logan Memorial Hospital in Russellville. She was born Monday, Feb. 9, 1931, the daughter of the late Coley Addison and the late Rena Hester Gaston. She was first the wife of the late Buddy Coursey, then the late Milford Martin.
She was a Rural Mail Carrier at U.S Postal Service and a member of Elk Lick Baptist Church. Throughout her life, she was a member of the Kentucky Harmoneers for many years.
Surviving are her sons, Lonnie (Rita) Coursey of Lewisburg and Jeff (Deloris) Coursey of Lewisburg; her sisters, Coleen (Ray) Hutchings of Russellville, Violet (Russell) Simmons of Hopkinsville, and Mary (Richard) Allen of Lewisburg.
She was predeceased by her son, Maurice Franklin Coursey.
There will be a visitation on Wednesday, Oct. 18, at Price Funeral Home Inc., located at 252 East Green Street, Lewisburg, at 5-8 p.m.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19, at Elk Lick Baptist Church located at 6904 Green Ridge Spa Rd, Lewisburg, Kentucky 42256, with Bro. Chris Odle and Bro. Art Hatfield officiating. Interment will be at Elk Lick Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at Elk Lick Baptist Church.
