Robert Lee Coker, born on Oct. 18, 1943, passed away on October 26, 2023. He was the son of the late Mary Belle and Beauchamp Coker.
Robert had a wonderful sense of humor. He was an avid fisherman and loved hunting, playing cards and golf. He especially loved spending time with grandkids and his great-granddaughter.Robert was loved by many and left a mark of kindness on everyone he met.
He is survived by his loving wife Anne Franklin Coker; his brother, Larry Coker,; hid son, Bart Coker (Les); his daughter, Leslie Reid (Ernie),’ his son, Jim Greene (Lara); his grandchildren, Hannah, Jaxon, Ben, Wesley, and Joseph; his great-grandchild, Callie Ann; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Betty Jean Coker.
Robert graduated from Adairville School and then went on to work as an investigator at Retail Credit before co-owning Charles Sircy Trucking and Express Trucking Companies. He finished his career serving as director of transportation and maintenance for Russellville Independent Schools.
Funeral Services for Robert Lee Coker will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31, at Summers and Son Funeral Home with burial to follow in Berea Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be held Monday, Oct. 30, from 5-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 a.m. until the service time
