Thomas Presley Guffy, 88, of Lewisburg, died on Friday, Jan. 23, 2015, at his home in Lewisburg.
He was born Saturday, April 3, 1926, the son of the late Robert Guffy and the late Viola Powell Guffy.
He was a carpenter and an Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of Elk Lick Baptist Church.
Surviving are his sons, Tommy Guffy of Lewisburg and Bobby Guffy of Auburn; his sister, Edith McElwain of Russellville; his half-brothers, Roy Wood and Gaylen Wood, both of Lewisburg, and Floyd Wood of Tennessee; his four grandchildren; and his six great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brother, Horace Guffy, his sister, Waynetta King, and his half-brother, Dewey Wood.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Price Funeral Home, Inc. located at 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg 42256 with the Rev. Larry Eaton officiating. Interment will be in Smith Cemetery, Logan County.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24, at Price Funeral Home.
