Arthur “Art” Gordon Tinsley, 77, of Bowling Green passed away at his residence on January 2, 2024. He was born to the late Arthur Gordon Tinsley Sr. and Anna (Gast) Tinsley also preceded in death by sisters Joanna Tinsley McCormick and Jeanette Tinsley Bond.
Art was the owner of Art's Auto Mart in Bowling Green by the Corvette Museum with a passion for classic cars for over 22 years.
He is survived by his companion of 30 years, Darla Rainwaters Tinsley; his daughters, Karren Tinsley Quinn (Jerrod) of South Carolina, Melissa Tinsley of Louisville, Laura Dulworth (Jaymes) of Russellville, and Robin Woods of Florida; his sisters, Mary Lou Meyer (Leonard) and Angela Tinsley Denham, all of Louisville; and his eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, Jan. 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with Brother Arno Kranz officiating services at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Kirby Funeral Services Russellville with burial to follow in Marshall Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Marshall Cemetery Fund and envelopes wil l be available at the funeral home.
