Robert Eugene Imlay Sr., 72, of Russellville, passed away Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky, He was born Jan. 19, 1951 to the late Forrest Eugene Imlay and Ethel Inez Whittemore Imlay. He was also preceded in death by a sister Rosemary Gearhart.
He is survived by his loving wife Audrey Sue Farmer Imlay; his sons, Robert Imlay Jr. (Corinna) of Russellville and James Ray Imlay of Russellville; his daughter, Karen Moore (Don) of Russellville; his sisters, Ester Marie Tate of Hartsville, Tenn. and Evelyn McClanahan of Indianapolis; his cousin, Doris Vick of Russellville; his grandchildren; Jordan, Madison, Scott, Courtney, Alison, Jennifer, Stephanie, Savannah, Sidda, and Ben; and his three great-grandchildren.
Robert was transportation manager for Griffin Industries for many years. He was a faithful member of Post Oak Baptist Church and served as a deacon. Robert was an avid UK fan and loved automobiles and spending time with his family.
Visitation will be Monday, Jan. 22, from 4-8 p.m. and from 9 a.m. to 1 p/m. Tuesday. Funeral services will follow with Bro. Nick Stamps officiating services at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Kirby Funeral Services Russellville with burial to follow In Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
