Norma Louise Kirby, 86, of Lewisburg, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. She was born Monday, Oct. 18, 1937, the daughter of the late Elmer McPherson and the late Ruby Pendley McPherson. She was the wife of the late Elmo Kirby.
She worked in manufacturing throughout Logan County and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Lewisburg.
Surviving are her sons, Gary (Melanie) Kirby of Athens, Tenn., Mike (Sheila) Kirby of Lewisburg and Mark (Earline) Kirby of Dunmor; her sisters, Janice McPherson of Russellville and Diann (Robert) Gibbs of Lewisburg; her brother, Doug (Carleen) McPherson of Russellville; her grandsons, Tommi Kirby of Lewisburg and Justin (Jessica) Kirby, all of Lewisburg; her granddaughters, Samantha Hopper of Knoxville, Shelby (Austin) Mayhew of Niota, Tenn. and Bridgette (Elias) Ruiz of Auburn; her step-granddaughters, Gloria (Wes) Slaughter of Roundhill and Michelle (Lance) Lewis of Orlinda, Tenn.; her great-grandsons, Reece Michael Kirby of Lewisburg, Caden Ruiz of Auburn and Marcos Ruiz of Auburn; her great-granddaughters, Atlas Mayhew of Niota and Bella Ruiz of Auburn; and her step-great-granddaughter, Whitney Lewis; her step-great-grandsons, Riley Slaughter, Hunter Goodwin and Jake Goodwin; and her step-great-great grandchildren, River and Wrenn.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 28, at Mt. Zion Cemetery located at 7188 Huntsville-Quality Road, Lewisburg.
