Anthony (Tony) Wayne Anderson, of Phoenix, Ariz., 53, passed away on Feb. 4, 2015 at Paradise Valley Hospital from complications after suffering from respiratory failure.
Tony was born Jan. 29, 1962 in Greenville. He attended and graduated from Lewisburg High School in 1980. He furthered his education at Western Kentucky University from which he graduated in 1984. He had a successful and fulfilling career in a number of retail and customer service roles in Bowling Green, Nashville, Richmond, Va., Philadelphia, Penn., and Scottsdale, Ariz. At the time of his death, he was employed by 20/20 Image Eye Centers of Scottsdale as an American Board of Optometry Certified Optician.
Tony is survived by his life partner of 18 years, Jeff Gish of Phoenix; his siblings Charlotte Hunt of Morgantown, Linda Lewis of White Plains, Ky., Joe Anderson of Lewisburg, and Lesa Taylor of Bowling Green; 8 nieces and nephews, 9 great-nephews, and 2 great-great nieces and nephews.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Dorothy Anderson, of Lewisburg. He will be privately laid to rest with them at Lewisburg Cemetery at a later date.
