Lois Myrle McElwain, 82, of Dunmor, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024, at Greenville Nursing and Rehab in Greenville, Kentucky. She was born Thursday, Oct. 2, 1941, the daughter of the late Connie Hill and the late Artie Hogan Hill. She was the wife of the late Donald McElwain.
She was a nurses' aid at Belle Meade Nursing Home and a member of Drakesboro United Methodist Church. She was also active in the Fun Over 40 Club in Drakesboro.
Surviving are her son, Daniel (Carla) McElwain of Dunmor; her daughters, Pam Harrison (Penny Edwards) of Radcliff and Karen (Robbie) Rabuck of Bellvue, Neb.; her stepsons, Jeff "Randy" (Linda) McElwain and Kevin (Beverly) McElwain, all of Lawrenceburg; her brother, Kenneth Hill of Drakesboro; her sister, Janice Stover of Drakesboro; her granddaughters, Ashley Bryant of Lawrenceburg, Megan McElwain of Lawrenceburg, Kristen Dickerson of Kentucky; her grandsons, Ben (Alexandra) McElwain of Illinois, Matt McElwain of Lexington, Joshua McElwain of Dunmor, Alex Kirtley of Radcliff and Jacob Dickerson of Greenville; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister, Sue Fleming, and her brother, Carl Glendall Hill.
A funeral service will be at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., located at 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg, with Bro. Colton Brooks officiating. Interment will be in Wiley's Crhapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at Price Funeral Home.
