Brown, Bobby Owen

Bobby Owen Brown, 86, of Russellville, passed away on Friday, Aug, 2, 2024, at Creekwood Nursing and Rehab in Russellville.He was born Tuesday, Jan, 4, 1938, the son of the late Wiley Brown and the late Dena Stuart Brown. He was the husband of Grace Brown, who survives.

He was a member of Pleasant Union General Baptist Church.

Bobby honorably served his country and retired from the Army National Guard. He served from 1956 to 1991.

Also surviving are his daughters, Annette (Jay) Brown of Frankfort and Ophia Ughamba of Frankfort; his sons, Pat (Judy) Brown of Russellville, David (Terri) Brown of Drakesboro, Mike (Cindy) Brown of Dickson, Tenn,, Anthony (Sue) Brown of Frankfort and Chris Brown of Madisonville; his step-daughter, Carol Insco of Lewisburg; his step-sons, Lindsay Clark and Craig Trude of Dunmor; and several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his daughter, June Brown Schleiter; his son, Bobby ‘Junior’ Brown; his sister, Nellie Jo Smith; and his brother, J.W. Brown and David ‘Bub’ Brown.

There will be a visitation at 1 p.m. at the cemetery until the time of the service.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7, at Martin Cemetery, located at 3595 Peach Orchard Road, Lewisburg, Ky, 42256; with Bro. Gary Mitchell officiating.
