Billy Glen Wilson, 82, of Russellville, passed away on Aug. 13, 2024, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green. He was born on Jan. 2, 1942, in Logan County to the late Evelyn and Noble Wilson.
Billy loved his county and served in the United States Airforce. He also loved his wife, Wanda Wilson, whom he was married to for 43 years. Billy worked for TVA for 23 years and was a blueprint creator in Denver where he then became an electrician. He was a man of great faith and a member of Critten Drive Church of Christ.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Wanda Layton, and his brother, Bobby Wilson.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Wilson; his daughter, Wendy Ragsdale (Billy) of Snellville, Ga.; his son, Kenneth Wilson (Margie) of Russellville; his stepson, Mark Allan of Clarksville; his grandchildren, Delany Ragsdale, Dakota Ragsdale, Ari Ragsdale, Shawn Wilson, Abby Allan, Olivia Allan, Katherine Allan, Madelin Allan and Sophia Allan; and a special great niece, Ava Grace Parker.
Visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 17, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Kirby Funeral Services Russellville with Scott Harp officiating the service to follow at 1 p.m. Burial will take place in Greenhills Memorial Gardens in Hopkinsville. The pallbearers will be Kelly Wilson, Keith Wilson, Joe Wilson, Jon Layton, Mike Wesner and Sam Holcomb.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky at 5872 Scottsville Rd., Bowling Green KY 42104. Envelopes will also be available at Kirby Funeral Services.
