Robert Alan Key, 64, of Russellville, passed away on Friday, Nov. 1, 2024, at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. Alan was born on Sept. 28, 1960, in Altoona, Penn. to Wilma Key and the late James Key of Bowling Green.
He was a Baptist by faith. He retired from Logan Aluminum. He loved spending time with his family and taking adventurous drives down unknown paths with his wife. He enjoyed drag racing at Beech Bend in his 1969 Camaro that he built himself. In his spare time, he liked to fish on his boat and hunt.
In addition to his mother, Alan is survived by his wife, Candi Key of Russellville; his bothers, Gerald Key and Stacey Key, both of Bowling Green; his stepsons, Tyler Stratton (Halie) of Nashwauk, Minn., Thomas Stratton (Emilee) of Auburn and Talon Stratton (Cora) of Russellville. He was Pop Pop to Saylor, Callie and Kasen Stratton.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 9. at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Kirby Funeral Services Russellville with Bro. Kenny Chyle and Bro. Nelson Bodes officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Russellville. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Pallbearers are Tyler Stratton, Thomas Stratton, Talon Stratton, Cody Reagle, Billy Rogers and Morris Manning.
