Darrell Dean "Dukie" Skipworth Sr. 76, of Lewisburg, passed away on Sunday, Dec/ 8, 2024, at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. He was born Sunday, Jan 11, 1948, the son of the late Shellie Skipworth and the late Alpha Garrett Skipworth. He was the husband of the late Rebecca Rose Mayberry Skipworth.
Dukie honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Dukie enjoyed working on his farm and loved fishing with family and friends. Additionally, he was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
Surviving are his daughter, Tammy (Kevin) Baker of Olmstead; his sons, D.J. (Jennifer) Skipworth of Russellville, Michael (Barbara) Skipworth of Cameron, Mo., and Keith (Fran) Skipworth of Scottsville; his sisters, Phyllis (Dallas) Bilbrey and Carolyn (Bill) McCall, all of Russellville; and his13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Quinton Lynn Skipworth, Roger Dale Skipworth, Rod Skipworth and Russell Skipworth; and his sister, Eva Latham.
A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec/ 10, at Lewisburg Cemetery, located at 195 Deerlick Road, Lewisburg, with Bro. Craig Skipworth officiating.
