Marion Thomas Hyams, 80, of Russellville passed away Friday, Dec. 13, 2024, at the Medical Center of Bowling Green. He was born Feb. 29, 1944, to the late Richard and Hessie Hyams. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Virgina Stokes, Agnes Eden, Betty Castile and Caroyln Speidel, and his brothers, Joe Hyams and Elmer Hyams.
He is survived by his wife, Merrena Hyams; his daughters, Teresa Montoya and Shelly McMaster (Craig); his sons, Jewell Ray Mathias (Carla) and Marty Marshall (Sue Carol), his brothers, Morris Hyams and Terry Hyams; his sister-in-law, Barbara Hyams; and his 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was a deputy for the Logan County Sheriff’s Department for several years, and he owned and operated Logan County Glass and Hyams Auto Sales. He loved working on clocks, collecting case knifes, and many other trades.
His funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 16, with Bro. Kenny Chyle, Bro. Gene Bush and Bro/ Marty Marshall officiating at 2 pm in the Chapel at Kirby Funeral Services with burial following in Dripping Spring Cemetery.
