Vernie O. "Toots" Forgy, 77, of Lewisburg, passed away on Monday, Dec. 23, 2024, at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Rowlett, Texas. He was born Monday, Oct. 20, 1947, the son of the late Walton Forgy and the late Earlene DeArmond Forgy. He was the husband of the late Betty Forgy. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Forgy.
He was a carpenter and a member of Tabernacle Independent Missionary Baptist Church.
Surviving are his daughters, Tammy Hall of Lewisburg and Cindy Thibault of Milton, Fla.; his sisters, Mary Shakleford of Russellville and Janice Brenning of Adairville; and his seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 29, at Lewisburg Cemetery, located at 195 Deerlick Road, Lewisburg, Ky. 42256.
