James Lynn Harper, 76, of Russellville, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025, at Creekwood Nursing and Rehab in Russellville. He was born Tuesday, Jan. 13, 1948, the son of the late Warren Harper and the late Nell Smith Harper. He was the husband of Sharon Shrull Harper of Russellville, who survives.
James was a painter for many years and was also a dedicated member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
Also surviving are his daughter, Karla (Cliff) Paddock of Russellville; his son, Eric (Elizabeth) Harper of Louisville; his sister, Jane (Drexel) Latham of Russellville; and his grandchildren, Ethan Paddock, Kaitlin Paddock, Micah Paddock, Elijah Paddock, all of Russellville.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 10, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., located at 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg, with Bro. Stony Hildabrand, Bro. Mike Dukes and Bro. Tim Nugent officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 8 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at Price Funeral Home, Inc. There will be another visitation on Thursday, at the funeral home from 5 until 8 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Nelson, Ricky Thomas, Michael Forrest, Nick Christian, Trevor Christian and Jason Curry.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the Christian Men's Sunday School Class from Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
