Georgia Jessup, 95, of Russellville, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2025 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green. She was born in Claymour on June 22, 1929, to the late Cay L. Gibbs and Alma Knight Gibbs. She worked at Rockwell and was a member of Stuart Chapel Church, where she taught Sunday School and was the oldest member. She also spent many hours volunteering at Logan Memorial Hospital.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Jessup; her brothers, Billy Gibbs and Fred Gibbs; her sisters, Mary Hampton, Nancy Brown, Kay Kisselbaugh, Margie Woodall and Marie Epley; her grandson, Michael Jessup; her granddaughters, Wendy Gower Hammer and Mary Elizabeth Jessup; and her great-grandson, Eli Jessup; and her sons-in-laws, John Cropper and Terry Camp.

She is survived by her son, Glenn Jessup and wife Teresa of Russellville; her daughters. Wanda Gower and Rita Cropper Orange and husband Kerry, all of Russellville; her grandchildren, Stephanie Gower Hoop and husband Ron, Anthony Jessup and wife Natalie, Katie Jessup Coleman and husband Tyler, Jeremy Cropper and wife; her g Deanna, and Jason Cropper and wife Julia; her grandson-in-law, Steve Hammer; her 15 great-grandchildren; and her sisters-in-law, Shirley Gibbs and Laura Jessup.

Funeral services for Georgia Jessup will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18, at Stuart Chapel Church with Bro. Kenny Gregory, Peggy Raby and Bro. Barry Gibbs officiating with burial to follow in Stuart Chapel Cemetery. Visitation at the church on Saturday will be held from 10 a.m. until the service hour.

Summers and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
