Mary Jean Parrish, 82, of Russellville, passed away Monday, March 16, 2015 at Creekwood Nursing and Rehab in Russellville. She was a Logan County native, born April 20, 1932 to the late Boyd Blackford and Lela Manners Blackford. She was a homemaker and a member of the Evening Light Tabernacle Church of Elkton.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Bro. Floyd Parrish; her son ~ Timmy Parrish ~ Russellville; her daughters ~ Linda Jo Reardon ~ Jefferson, Ind., Sheila Shelton and Debbie Cates ~ both of Russellville; his sister ~ Lois Vaughn ~ Lewisburg; eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mary Jean Parrish will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Thomas Byler officiating with burial to follow in the First General Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be held Tuesday, March 17, from 5-8 p.m. and after 8 a.m. on Wednesday until the funeral hour of 1 p.m.
