Phyllis Sherrod Dukes, 78, of Russellville, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2025, at Greenwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bowling Green. She was born Sunday, June 30, 1946, the daughter of the late Ewell Wells and the late Marie Mercer Wells.
She was a pharmacy tech at Gower Drug Store and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Darla (Jon) Barrow of Auburn; her sister, Joan Castellano of Waco, Texas; her brother, John Wells of Lexington; her grandson, Macon Barrow of Auburn; and her granddaughter, Chaney Barrow of Auburn.
She was predeceased by her brother, David Ewell Wells, and her first husband, Coy Ray Sherrod.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 2, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., located at 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg, with Bro. Tim Nugent and Bro. Ronnie Forrest officiating. Interment will be in Lewisburg Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Sunday at Price Funeral Home, Inc.
There will be another visitation on Saturday, Feb. 1, at the funeral home starting at 6 p.m.
