Beatrice “Bea” Long, 83, of Russellville, passed away on Saturday, Feb/ 8, 2025, at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green. She was born in Adairville on July 24, 1941, to the late J.L Cowan and Lois Elizabeth Austin Cowan. She was a Registered Nurse, was a member of the Women’s Democrat Club, the Logan County Garden Club, the Russellville Presbyterian Church.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, David Long, and brothers, Duane Cowan and Clark Cowan.
She is survived by her son, Johnny Hankins of Russellville; her daughter, Judy Sayne and husband Roy of Russellville; her stepdaughter, Susan Long Skipworth and husband Ronnie of Murfreesboro; her grandchildren, Amanda Sayne of Russellville and Vince Sayne and wife Tori of Olmstead; her great-grandsons, Eli Sayne and Miles Sayne; and her five step-grandchildren.
Memorial Services for Beatrice “Bea” Long will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15, at Summers and Son Funeral Home. Visitation Saturday will be held from noon until the service hour.
