Bertha Mae Morris, 74, of Russellville, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the Hospice House of Bowling Green. She was born on March 18, 1950, to the late Thomas Kees and Gladys Buckner.
She is also preceded in death by her son, Kilas Morris; her brothers, Thomas “Freedie” Kees, James “Slick” Kees, Ronald “Red” Kees and Herbert Buckner; and her sister, Mary Grinter.
She is survived by her daughters, Stella Kees of Russellville, Freda Downey (Michael) of Franklin, and Janice Morris of Russellville; her son, Frank Morris III “Bubba” of Russellville; her sisters, Joyce Field of Louisville and Mattie Bailey of Russellville; her brothers, Bobby Kees of Rockfield, Timothy Kees of Russellville, and Alvin Kees of Russellville; her brother-in-law, James “Popsicle” Grinter of Russellville; her grandchildren, Tiara Halcomb, Racneka Downey, Shatori Kees, and Sharaya Booze; her great-grandchildren, Zay’Vionna Downey, Amari Graves, Tyree Graves, Jordan Riley, and Jayla Silwer; and her great-great grandchildren, Exavion Boggs Downey and Exavior Boggs Downey, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Bertha loved her family and worked as a stocker at Walmart.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 14, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the chapel of Kirby Funeral Services Russellville with services at 1 p.m. with burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
