Cheryl Greer Rogers, 70, departed this Earth for her heavenly home on May 21, 2025 surrounded by the love of her family. Born on February 16, 1955, in Russellville, Cheryl was the daughter of the late Charles “Bill” Greer and the late Georgia Harper Greer.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Edward “Rawlie” Greer, and her sister-in-law, Donna Greer.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Mallory Knight; her son-in-law Ryan; her cherished granddaughter and namesake, Georgia Greer Knight; her niece, Amy Varble (Travis); her great-nieces, Jobeth Rust and Abigail Oberhausen: and several great-great-nephews.
A lifelong resident of Russellville, Cheryl was a beloved member of the community. She
graduated from Russellville High School in 1973 and was a faithful member of First Christian Church.
Cheryl dedicated 48 years of her life to serving others as a dental assistant at Towe Dentistry, where she was known for her humor, fun loving spirit, and the ability to put everyone at ease.
She found joy in antiquing, cooking for those she loved, sipping unsweet tea, and sharing a good laugh, but her greatest happiness came from spending time with her family and friends. In 2021, Cheryl moved to Georgia to be closer to her daughter Mallory and became an irreplaceable part of her granddaughter Georgia’s life—a role she treasured deeply.
Cheryl will be remembered for her generous heart, infectious personality, and her remarkable gift for making people smile. Her absence will be felt daily by all who knew and loved her.
