Chloe Dell Hughes Logan, 89, of Russellville, formerly of Deerlick, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2025, at Creekwood Nursing and Rehab in Russellville, where she had been a resident for the past 10 years. She was born Wednesday, March 11, 1936, the daughter of the late John Hughes and the late Ada Frizella Crafton Hughes. She was the wife of the late Macon Maxwell Logan Jr.
Chloe was an educator, spending many years teaching for the Logan County School system and for the University of Kentucky. She was also an accomplished writer, having been published in numerous magazines and even some published book credits. In addition to her career and writing portfolio, Chloe knew the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, P.J. (Tom) Rossi of Elizabeth, Col. and Phoebe (Kevin) Woodard of Greeleyville, S.C.; and her sons, Charlie (Karen) Logan of Russellville and David Hywel Logan of Ari.; as well as seven grandchildren.
A graveside service for close friends and family will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30, at Wiley's Chapel Cemetery, located at 6574 Deerlick Road, Lewisburg 42256 with Bro. Tim Nugent officiating.
