Joe Bailey Wright, 82, of Russellville, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025, at his home. He was born in Russellville, on May 16, 1943, to the late Claude Blackburn and Leola Nold Willis Wright. He was a farmer and a long-time member of Stevenson’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Bobbye Wright; his son, Barry Wright and wife Carol Ann of Lewisburg; his daughter, Barabara Benton and husband Steve of Russellville; his brother, Warren David Wright and wife Peggy of Lewisburg; his grandchildren, Beth Thurston and husband Fischer of Russellville, Adam Wright and wife Sarah of Lewisburg and Hannah Benton of Russellville; and his great-grandchildren, Anna Thurston, Ella Thurston and Tatum Thurston.
Funeral services for Joe Bailey Wright will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27, at Stevenson’s Chapel United Methodist Church with Pastor Jim Mathews and Bro. Johnny Fuller officiating with burial to follow in Stevenson’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, Sept. 26, at Summers and Son Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday at Stevenson’s Chapel UMC from 11 a.m. until the service hour of 2.
