Gregory (Greg) Lynn Porter, 56, of Dunmor, died on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was born Tuesday, Feb. 17, 1959 in Russellville, the son of J.P. Porter and Patty Porter, who both survive. He was the husband of Laura Hammond Porter, who also survives.
He was a self-employed owner of Porter's Tops and a member of Penrod Baptist Church.
Surviving are his son, Mathew Porter of Evansville, Ind; his brothers, Jonathan Porter of Beechmont and Jeremy Porter of Lewisburg; his step-daughter Chelsye Trapley of Belton; his step-sons, Chip Willmore of Gallatin, Tenn. and Chad Willmore of Nashville; and his two step-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Crossroads with the Bro. Chris Cowan and Bro. Ron Fellows officiating. Interment will be in Penrod Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, at Crossroads, Russellville.
