John Robert ‘Bob’ Venable, 73, of Union Church Road, Russellville, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. He was a Logan County native, born Nov. 23, 1941 to the late Aurthur Herndon Venable and Sue Ernestine Miles Venable. He was a tool & die maker with Rockwell International, a farmer and a member of Stevenson’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Venable; his son ~ Curt Venable and wife, Tina ~ Russellville; his daughter ~ Diane Goodnight and husband Davey ~ Russellville; his brother ~ Jim Venable and wife Martha ~ Russellville; and his three grandchildren and his four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for John Robert ‘Bob’ Venable will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, April 17, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Romans and Bro. Mitch Hedge officiating with burial in the Stevenson’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be Thursday, April 16, from 5-8 p.m. and after 8 a.m. Friday until the funeral hour of 11 a.m.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to Stevenson’s Chapel Cemetery Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
