Anne Lee Scruggs Collins, 90, of Bowling Green, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025 at Massey Springs Senior Living in Bowling Green. She was born in Adairville, on March 4, 1935 to the late John Alfred Scruggs and Annie Mae Richardson Scurggs.
She was a member of Pleasant Run United Methodist Church until it closed and then attended the United Methodist Temple. She was a former member of the Homemakers Club and volunteer for Good Samaritan, where she was Volunteer of the Year. She also volunteered for the bloodmobile and at the Archives. She loved to crochet and quilt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Russell Collins, and her sister, Lucille McIntosh.
She is survived by her sons, Charles Collins and wife Robin of Bowling Green and Tommy Collins and wife Reba of Auburn; her daughter, Mary Jane Newton and husband Russell of Connelton, Ind.; her grandsons, Byron Minto, Steven Minto and Frank Minto’ and her great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Anne Lee Scruggs Collins will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at Summers and Son Funeral Home with Bro. Carl Freudenthal officiating with burial to follow in Pleasant Run Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the service hour.
