Jon Paul Stuart, 81, of Russellville, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2025, at Hearthstone Place in Elkton. He was born Jan. 6, 1944, to the late J.E. and Nell Stuart. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Sarah Agnes Stuart.
He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Gettings (Gary) of Russellville, and Attye Wilford (Brandon) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Cheyenne Forbis, Blake Gettings, Shelby Gettings, Ella Gettings and Grider Wilford; his five great-grandchildren; and his sister, Susan Stuart Farmer of Covington.
Jon Paul was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Temple in Russellville. Jon Paul was a very devoted Christian and family man. He loved people and spent his life doing everything he could to make people laugh and have fun. Jon Paul will always be remembered for his countless jokes and his humor.
The graveside service will be on Sunday. Jan. 4, at 2 p.m. in Maple Grove Cemetery, Russellville.
