Thomas "Tommy" C. Vaughn, 89, of Lewisburg, died on Friday, May 1, 2015, at his residence.
He was born Friday, Oct. 16, 1925 in Lewisburg, the son of the late Charles Vaughn and the late Thenie Fleming Vaughn. He was the husband of the late Sarabelle Homer Vaughn.
He was owner and operator of Vaughn Heating & Air Conditioning for 45 years.
He was an Army Veteran of World War II and a member of New Midway Missionary Baptist Church.
He was a member of NRA and loved to hunt and fish.
Surviving are sons, Rodney Vaughn - (Helen) and Bruce Vaughn - (Anna), both of Lewisburg; his daughters, Cheryl Whitescarver - (Dean) and Janeen Thomas - (Gary), both of Lewisburg, and Carol Dye of Tulsa, Okla.; his sister, Carolyn Thompson of Birmingham, Ala.; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son, David Vaughn; and his brothers, Norris Vaughn, Morgan Vaughn, Shorty Vaughn and Charles Elbert Vaughn.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. on Monday at Lewisburg Cemetery with the Rev. Ronnie Forrest officiating. Interment will be in Lewisburg Cemetery, Lewisburg.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg.
