Susan Danks Gower, 79, of Lewisburg, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Med Center Health-Bowling Green. She was born Tuesday, February 4, 1947, the daughter of the late Alfred Harold Danks and the late Mary Maxine Brown Danks. She was the wife of the late Lawrence "Ed" Gower.
She was a bookkeeper at Gower Drug Store, a homemaker, and a longtime member of the Lewisburg United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her sons, Robbie Gower (Amber Lee) of Portland, Ore,, David Gower (Annie Welch) of Minneapolis, and Patrick Gower (Ayda Sarp) of Chicago, Ill.; her brothers, Morris "Brownie" Danks of Las Vegas, Steve Danks of Russellville and David Danks of Lewisburg; her sister, Patsy Guion of Beechland; her granddaughter, Scarlett Welch Gower of Minneapolis; and her grandson, Reuben Welch Gower, also of Minneapolis.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, John Ed Gower and her brother, Alfred "Shorty" Danks.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, at Beechland Cemetery, located on Beechland Road, Lewisburg with Bro. Gary Ball officiating. Interment will also be in Beechland Cemetery.
