Howard "Bud" Shutts, 78, of Lewisburg, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky, Inc. in Bowling Green. He was born Saturday, May 22, 1948, the son of the late Howard E. Shutts and the late Earnestine "Ruth" Caughey. He was the husband of the late Dana Shutts.
Bud was a truck driver for Wright Trucking Company. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran. While serving, he earned the National Defense Service Medal.
Surviving are his daughters, Erin Ray of Lewisburg and Cassandra of Arizona; his sons, Adrian Shutts of Lewisburg, Johnny Smith Sr. of Mount Carmel, Ill, and Kye Shutts of California; his sisters, Rosena Shutts of Utah, and Lin Cropper of Chandlers, and Mary Nichols of Sharon Grove; his brothers, Michael Shutts, Harold "Sunny" Shutts, Patrick Shutts and Matthew Shutts, all of Sharon Grove, and Eugene Shutts of Louisville; and 7 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Smith.
A funeral service will be at noon on Friday, June 19, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., located at 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg with Chris Daniels officiating. Interment will be in Antioch Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday, June 18, at 6 p.m. and again on Friday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
