Shirley Ann Schmidt, 71, of Russellville, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at the Medical Center of Bowling Green. She was born on July 5, 1954, in Russellville to the late Paul Hugh Elmond and Essie Mae Elmon
Seh was also preceded in death by her son, Michael Wayne Canler, and her daughter-in-law, Stacey Canler.
She is survived by her companion Bill Schmidt, her son, Guy Dwsayne Canler of Bowling Green; her daughter, Teresa Canler Gregory (Tracy) of Woodburn; her sisters, Wanda Armstrong of Russellville, Mavis Wester (Buddy) of Belton, and Linda Gibson of Nashville; and her five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Shirley loved her family and her flower gardens.
Visitation will be on Friday, June 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the chapel of Kirby Funeral Services Russellville with cremation to follow.
