Jack Lendell Barnes, 80, of Lewisburg, died on Friday, May 22, 2015, at TriStar SkyLine Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born Saturday, Sept. 22, 1934 in Bevier, Ky., the son of the late Ludie Barnes and the late Louise Harris Barnes. He was the husband of Mattie Knight Barnes, who survives.
He was a coal miner for P&M Coal Co. and a member of Penrod Baptist Church.
Surviving are his sons, John Barnes, Raymond Barnes and Jody Barnes, all of Lewisburg, and Terry Barnes of Mortons Gap; his daughters, Ann Barnes of Graham, Debbie Stevens of Cadiz and Anna Lindsay of Auburn; 9 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Price Funeral Home, Inc. located at 252 E. Green St. Lewisburg, with Bro. Bobby Allen and Bro. Stony Hildabrand officiating. Interment will be in Wyatt Chapel Cemetery in Muhlenberg County.
The family will receive friends after 6 p.m. on Monday, May 25, at Price Funeral Home.
