Mamie Louise McCarley, 95, of Kenny Stratton Road, Olmstead, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015 at her home. She was born in Elkton on May 4, 1920 to the late Robert Lee Sydnor and Mary Eliza Scott Sydnor. She was a homemaker and a lifetime member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin “Shorty” McCarley. 

She is survived by her four sons, William “Billy” McCarley ~ Russellville, and Russell McCarley, Jerry McCarley and James McCarley ~ all of Olmstead; her seven daughters ~ Rebecca McCarley, Annie Henry and Mary Ann Dillihay ~ all of Olmstead, Rosie Dickerson and LillieMae Snorton ~ both of Adairville,Betty McCarley ~ Russellville, and Vivian Faye McCarley ~ Atlanta; her sister-in-law ~ Maxine Sydnor ~ Russellville; 41 grandchildren, 98 great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, several great-great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services for Mamie Louise McCarley will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Rev. Delmus Johnson and Rev. Gary Johnson officiating with burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery.  Visitation at the funeral home on Thursday will be from 10 a.m. until the service hour of 1 p.m.
