Vonda Sue Markham, 79, of Dunmor, died on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, at her daughter's residence in Dunmor. She was born Friday, Dec. 6, 1935 in Muhlenberg County, the daughter of the late John Henry Whitney and the late Josie Wilson Whitney.
She was a housekeeper for Lake Malone Inn and a member of Mt. Moriah Church of Christ.
Surviving are her sons, Randy Markham, Dwight Markham, Johnny Markham and Russell Markham, all of Dunmor; her daughters, Gaye Smith and Margo Escue, all of Lewisburg, and Billie Jo Stinson of Morgantown; her sisters, Bonnie Adler of Lewisburg, Dean Hogge of Henderson and Velma Woods of Russellville; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her sons, Granville Markham and Gene Thomas Markham; her sister, Dorris Travis; three grandchildren, Shannon Sears, DJ Markham, and Jordan Sorrels; and a great-grandchild, Menda Brooks.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Monday at Price Funeral Home, Inc. located at 252 E. Green St. Lewisburg 42256 with Rev. Mike Dukes officiating. Interment will be in Dunmor Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 14, at Price Funeral Home.
