Billy Burchett, 80, of the Orndorff Mill Road, Adairville, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015 at his home. He was a Logan County native, born to the late Wallace Boyd Burchett and Margaret Lally Trevathan Burchett. He was a farmer and truck driver for Kroger, and was a member of the Adairville Baptist Church where he was a Deacon Emeritus.
He is survived by his wife of 57 ½ years ~ Ann Smith Burchett; his sons ~ Andy Burchett and wife Beth ~ Adairville, and Scott Burchett and wife Karen ~ Springfield; his daughter ~ Mindy Hunter ~ Adairville; his sister ~ Peggy Violett ~ Adairville; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Billy Burchett will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, at the Adairville Baptist Church, with Bro. Mark Bond and Bro. Carl Freudenthal officiating with burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Adairville. Visitation at the church will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday morning and will last until the service hour at 3 p.m.
