Elizabeth Gibbs Stratton, 93, of Homer Road, Russellville, passed away Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015 at the Creekwood Place Nursing and Rehab. She was a Logan County native, born May 8, 1922 to the late Thomas Gibbs and Rosa Lee Herndon Gibbs. She was a homemaker and a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Milton Stratton Sr.
She is survived by her son Fred Milton Stratton Jr. and wife, Susan ~ Russellville; her daughter ~ Peggy Wright and husband Warren David ~ Lewisburg; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Robinson, and infant daughter, Betty Sue Stratton.
Funeral services for Elizabeth Gibbs Stratton will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Barnes and Bro. Gene Bracken officiating with burial to follow in Stevensons Chapel Cemetery. Visitation at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home was held Monday evening and will be held on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until the service hour of 11.
