Betty Jean Richmond, 70, of Lewisburg Road, Russellville, passed away Monday, Nov, 2, 2015 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green. She was a Logan County native, born Oct. 2, 1945 to the late Lawrence Watkins and Jimmie Richardson Watkins. She was a seamstress for Red Kap and a member of Northside Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Lee Richmond; her daughter ~ Lisa Latham and husband Luke ~ Lewisburg; her brothers ~ Charlie Watkins ~ Russellville, Danny K. Watkins ~ Bowling Green, Roy Watkins ~ Homer, Bob Watkins ~ Denver, Col. and Harold Watkins ~ Chandlers; her sisters ~ Connie Cowherd and Geraldean Watkins Hughes ~ both of Russellville, Martha Watkins ~ Nashville and Elizabeth Watkins ~ Elkton; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her son, Stacy Epley, and brothers Curtis Watkins and Jerry Watkins.
Funeral services for Betty Jean Richmond will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Chris Kramer and Mark Pape officiating with burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be Thursday, Nov. 5, from 5-8 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. until the service hour of 1 p.m.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
