Roy Kevin Stratton, 83, of New West Gallatin Street, Adairville, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015 at his home. He was a Logan County native, born Aug. 25, 1932 to the late Garland Timothy Stratton and Johnnie Willis Stratton. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, retired from the U.S. Postal Service and a retired farmer.

He was a member of the Adairville Baptist Church and active in the Men’s I Sunday School Class. He was also a member of the Adairville Volunteer Fire Department, Certified EMT for the Adairville Ambulance Service, and member of the Adairville Chamber of Commerce.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Dolores Edwards Stratton; his son ~ Jason Kevin Stratton and wife Lauren ~ Adairville; his grandsons ~ Jake, Tucker and Logan Stratton; and his sister-in-law ~ Alberta Sanders ~ Adairville.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, James R. “Buck” Sanders and Marion Stratton, and his sisters, Mary Garland Sharp, Ruby Link, Helen Rogers and Dixie Reeves. 

Funeral services for Roy Kevin Stratton will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 1, 2016 at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Bond and Bro. Randall Rogers officiating with burial in Greenwood Cemetery in Adairville.

Visitation at the funeral home will be Thursday, Dec. 31, from 5-8:00 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. until the service hour of 11.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to Hospice of Southern Kentucky or Adairville Baptist Church Building Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
