Freddie Gray Yates, 60, of the Dennis Corinth Road, Auburn, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016 at his home. He was a Logan County native born April 2, 1955 to the late Emment Allen Yates and Gladys Graves Yates. He was a supervisor for Cougar Packaging in Clarksville and an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, LaVerne Wilson Yates.
He is survived by his sons ~ Charles Yates and wife Stephanie ~ Clarksville, and Earl Yates and wife, Emily ~ all of Russellville; his brothers ~ John Yates, Stoney and James Yates ~ Russellville, and William, Delmar and Clarence Yates ~ all of Auburn; his sisters ~ Teresa Dotson, Brenda Nations and Lisa Atkinson ~ all of Russellville; six grandchildren, a great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Freddie Gray Yates will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 17, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with burial to follow in Berea Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be from 11 a.m. until the service hour of 2 p.m.
