George Page, 91, of Crittenden Drive, Russellville, passed away Monday, Jan. 25, 2016 at his home. He was a Logan County native, born Feb. 27, 1924 to the late George Vernon Page Sr. and Mattie Crawford Page.
He was a World War II Army veteran who served in the Pacific Theatre. He was the owner of Page Furniture and Appliance Store and one of the oldest members of First Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder and treasurer.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sue Page; his sons, Dr. Rusty Page and wife Cecilia ~ Lexington and Jeff Page and wife Connie ~ Russellville; four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for George Page will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 28, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Tom Thompson officiating with burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be held Thursday from 10 a.m. until the service hour of 2 p.m.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to Hospice of Southern Kentucky or First Presbyterian Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
