Elbert Dee Shumake Jr., 84, of West 7th Street, Russellville, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. He was a Logan County native, born March 15, 1931 to the late Elbert Dee Shumake Sr. and Barbara Ann Lewis Shumake. He was a self-employed mechanic. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Sybil Millodean Bryant Shumake, two sons, Jerry Wayne Shumake and Ronnie Gene Shumake, and a grandson, Timothy Randall Shumake.
He is survived by his daughters, Sherry Dulworth, Gwendolyne Cruz (Virgil Scruggs) and Charlotte Simpson (Mack) ~ all of Russellville; his sister ~ Jessie Mae Morgan ~ Granite City, Ill.; 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
The family of Elbert Dee Shumake Jr., has chosen cremation due to his wishes.A memorial service will be held at a later date.
