John Eugene Jones, 58, of the Lewisburg Road, Russellville, passed away Friday, April 1, 2016 at his home. He was a Kansas City, Mo. Native, born April 6, 1957 to Dorothy Jean Ranks Jones and the late James Claude Jones. He was employed with Universal Equipment Company as a heating and cooling installer. He was a member of New Life Baptist Church and served in the Army Reserves.
He is survived by his mother ~ Dorothy Jean Jones ~ Gorham, Maine; his wife ~ Melissa Herderhorst Jones; his daughters ~ Inga Lise Jones ~ Bowling Green and Margaret Kiersten Jones ~ both of Bowling Green; his step-son ~ Allen Michael Lebo ~ Russellville; his step-daughter ~ Amelia Blake Epley ~ Bowling Green; his sisters ~ Susan Eberhart ~ Buxton, Me., Julie Turcotte ~ Gorham, Me. and Melissa Cusano ~ Topsham, Me.; and his granddaughter ~ Josephine Devore ~ Bowling Green.
Funeral services for John Eugene Jones will be conducted at 6 p,m. Monday, April 4, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Proctor officiating. Visitation at the funeral home will be held Monday from 3 p.m. until the service hour at 6 p.m.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to St. Jude's Children’s Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
