Rebecca Lovell Goddard, 97, of Winchester, formerly of Russellville, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester. She was born April 25, 1918 to the late Henry Clayton and Mallie T. Lovell. She was an avid reader, busy with clubs, groups and activities, but friends and family were always the most important. She personified the term “people person,” always ready to help when needed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Barney Freeman Goddard, and her brother, Henry C. Lovell Jr.
She is survived by her son ~ Mike Goddard and wife Danita ~ Townsend; her daughter ~ Ann Miller and husband Bob ~ Winchester; her grandchildren ~ Beth Miller Poe ~ Evansville, Mike Miller and wife Lyn ~ Frankfort,Chris Goddard and wife, Angela ~ Brentwood, Tenn. and Kyle Goddard and wife Charity ~ Bowling Green; and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services for Rebecca Lovell Goddard will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, at Maple Grove Cemetery with Mike Miller officiating. Visitation at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home will be held Wednesday from noon until 1 p.m.
Winchester visitation will be held at Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 19, from 4-6 p.m.
