James Willie Blackford, 75, of Russellville, died on Monday, April 18, 2016, at his residence.
He was born Thursday, March 6, 1941 in Lewisburg, the son of the late Jesse Blackford and the late Earvel Hildabrand Blackford. He was the husband for 51 years of Rena Sumner Blackford of Russellville, who survives.
He was a retired mechanic with Logan Aluminum, loved antique tractors and was a member of Epley Baptist Church.
Surviving are his sons, David Blackford -(Jeana) of Mammoth Spring, Ark. and Daniel Blackford - (Sandy) of Dunmor; his brothers, Glen Blackford of Lewisburg and Warren Blackford - (Phyllis) of Russellville; his sister, Lena Pearl Pedigo of Louisville; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brother, J.C. Blackford.
A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Price Funeral Home, Inc.. located at 252 E. Green St. Lewisburg, with Bro. George Yates and Bro. Bill Vaught officiating. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Russellville.
The family will receive friends after 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, at Price Funeral Home.
