James Henry Scruggs, 72, of East 4th Street, Russellville, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. He was a Logan County native, born Oct, 31, 1943 to the late Jim Scruggs and Mary Adams Scruggs. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, a farmer and a member of Grace Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Rose Nell Scruggs; his sons ~ Eugene Scruggs and Daniel Scruggs ~ both of Russellville; his daughter ~ Angie Scruggs ~ Arkansas; his brothers ~ Virgil Scruggs and wife Gwen ~ Russellville, Jimbo Scruggs and wife Sheila ~ Auburn, Lewis Scruggs ~ Lewisburg,John Scruggs and wife Glenna ~ Auburn, Tony Scruggs and wife Jennifer ~ Springfield, and Dewey Scruggs and wife Melissa ~ West Virginia; his sisters ~ Debbie Watkins and husband George ~ Auburn, Charlotte Logan ~ Auburn, Norma Keys and husband Conway ~ Russellville, and Ida Thomas and husband, Warren ~ Auburn; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, David Michael Scruggs and Raymond Allen Scruggs.
The family of James Henry Scruggs has chosen cremation and there will be no services at this time.
