Billie Long Jr., 86, of Russellville, died on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green. He was born Thursday, Sept. 26, 1929 in Beech Creek, Kentucky. He was the husband of Betty Arnold Long, who survives.
He was a railroad engineer and a member of Penrod Baptist Church and the Lewisburg Masonic Lodge.
Surviving are his sons, David Long of Woodburn,and Tim Long of Hopkinsville; his daughters, Cindy Colston of Russellville, Susie Axetell of Beechmont, Kathy Harper of Jackson, Tenn. and Barb Wester of Belton; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
A Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Price Funeral Home, Inc. located at 252 E. Green St. Lewisburg, with Steve Rutherford officiating. Interment will be in Penrod Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:30 p.m. on Friday, May 13, at Price Funeral Home.
