Nellie E. Biggs, 90, of Reservoir Heights, Russellville, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016 at her home. She was a Logan County native, born Oct. 29, 1925 to the late Horace Colby Sanford and Bonnie Mary Addison Sanford. She was the widow of the late Monroe Biggs.
She was retired from the Logan County School System as custodian and school bus driver. She was the first female bus driver for the system. She was active with the senior citizens and was a member of the O’Roark United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son ~ Toby Biggs and wife Sandra ~ Smyrna, Tenn.; her daughters ~ Rita Mosley and husband Eddie ~ Russellville, Kay Johnson and husband Hal ~ Suffield, Ohio, and Lana Jolly ~ Russellville; her brothers ~ Lloyd Sanford ~ Long Lake, Mich., and Boyd Allen Sanford ~ Taswell, Mich.; her sister ~ Carolyn Sullivan ~ Russellville; 9 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Floyd Sanford.
Funeral services for Nellie E. Biggs will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, in the O’Roark United Methodist Church with Bro. Donnie Blick officiating and burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation at the church will take place Saturday beginning at 11:30 a.m. and lasting until the service hour at 2 p.m.
