Wendell Terry Taylor, 59, of North Main Street, Russellville, passed away Monday, Aug. 29, 2016 at Logan Memorial Hospital. He was a Logan County native, born May 5, 1957 to Earl Taylor and Ruby Perry Slack. He was an over-the-road driver for the Kellogg Company, member of Epley United Methodist Church and former Lewisburg City Councilman.
He is survived by his mother ~ Ruby Slack ~ Russellville; his wife ~ Esther Taylor; his son ~ Nathaniel Seth Taylor and wife Carolina ~ Colorado Springs; his daughter ~ Erin Schandel Kaptur and husband, Steve ~ Crestwood, Ill.; his brother ~ Keith Taylor ~ Bowling Green; and his grandchildren ~ Kaybree Nella Kaptur, Finley Hope Kaptur and Alejandra Shay Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Taylor, and nephew, Jarod Keith Taylor.
Funeral services for Wendell Terry Taylor will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 2, 2016 at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Danny Williams officiating with burial to follow in Jarrett Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be held Thursday, Sept. 1, from 5-8 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. until the service hour of 1 p.m.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the Wounded Warrior Project.
